Pharrell Williams added his voice to the Presidential race with a ringing endorsement of Hillary Clinton during an appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday (Oct. 12).
When Ellen asked Pharrell about his thoughts on the presidential election, he instantly took to Team Hillary.
“It’s time for a woman to be in there,” he said. “Women think about things in a holistic way, it’s not just so individual. I’m saying I’m happy to be a man, but I love women. The thing is, if we had somebody looking after our country that thought about things as a whole, I just feel like it just would be different.”

The Voice judge wanted to be clear that he still is a proud supporter of President Barack Obama.
“Not that I don’t love our current president, I just feel like it’s Hillary time,” he added. “One of the greatest things is this is the land of opportunity. One of the things I feel like we can work on is we are so easily sensationalized. People are like, ‘Okay, we need a president that we can play Scrabble and Celebrity with,’ but that’s not who’s gonna solve your problems. You need someone that’s gonna take it serious.”
